Inés Rodriguez is a creative artist and textile designer based in Spain.
She has her textile studio in rural área , Allariz- Galicia. She balances her work as a textile designer with her artistic practice in the textile field, research into innovative textile materials, and teaching at design schools. Her artistic work fuses textile techniques with innovative new materials, as well as artisanal and painterly methods.
She draws inspiration from contemporary themes—such as nature, society, women, and philosophy—conducting extensive research to create her textile artworks.

For her activity in reference to textile craft design and her commitment to the territory she has received several National Awards such as the Innovative Rural Women in 2020 or the National Craftsmanship Award in the Product Category in 2023, recently in 2026 European Textile Award Craft for dedicated to research, training and development in reference to textile craftsmanship and innovation of textile materials.
Within her fiber artistic activity the textile is the protagonist, her means of expression and in her work she combines different weaving techniques with new materials or other techniques such as painting, printing, or even pieces with volume closer to sculpture. Her textile artworks are born from the documentation and study of landscape, nature, philosophy, anthropology, and social issues. Tapestries and textile paintings display diverse textures, striving for a textile expressionism and a duality between form and content that evokes feeling and reflection in the viewer.
Within this field, which has always been part of her more personal and experimental activity, she has held several group exhibitions in cities such as Santiago de Compostela, Pontevedra, Madrid, Zaragoza, Madrid, Miami and Barcelona.
She has made different artistic residencies such as the REGA Residence in 2023 Cidade da Cultura – Museo Gaiás or the one organized by the CICA – Interdisciplinary Center of Chemistry of the University of A Coruña in 2023 for which she made artistic pieces with gold and graphene nanomaterials , she enjoys material experimentation and documentary research to create her fiber artworks; that’s why her formats are different, the techniques, materials and colors are the language to transmit the ideas and sensations in each work.
